Talltail watched Frostfox pad toward the camp entrance. "See you later Frostfox." she meowed. She gazed back at Lightningclaw who was still beside her, "Beautiful day isn't it?" she meowed casually.

Lightningclaw looked at his deputy straight in the eye and answered,"Yes, it most certainly is. Hope the sky stays clear," and with that finished the last of his vole and went into the warriors den to meditate on things.

Talltail's whiskers twichted from his forward answer and gaze. She watched as the warrior padded into the den and stared for one or two more heart-beats at where he had disappeared.

Frostfox place his forepaws in the stream to cool. He had stepped on a sharp stone while he was walking, and his pads hurt.
